The municipality of Gombrèn has been the setting for a thematic weekend dedicated to sacred geography and Marian sanctuaries, with activities including pilgrimages, conferences, and workshops.

Over two days, the Silene association led an immersive experience that allowed participants to explore the tangible and intangible heritage value of these sites. The event included a pilgrimage from Gombrèn to the Montgrony sanctuary, accompanied by lectures, workshops, songs, and dances.
This initiative has served as a starting point for an itinerant training program that the association aims to expand to other locations in Catalonia. The goal is for this pilot project to grow over time and be replicated elsewhere, offering a broader perspective on sacred geography.

"Our philosophy is to offer a vision that complements the scientific-technical approach prevalent in nature conservation, by incorporating cultural and spiritual values to create a stronger bond with the population, giving it more social meaning."

The Silene association, founded twenty years ago, seeks with this proposal to extend its work and influence how natural and cultural heritage is perceived and valued, integrating the spiritual dimension into conservation efforts.
