The Generalitat de Catalunya has allocated 70,000 euros to mitigate the damages caused by the strong windstorms of March 2026 to the municipal sports court in Molló.

The windstorm event, which occurred on March 15, 2026, caused significant damage to various municipal facilities and infrastructures. The sports court was particularly affected, with damage to the roof, solar panels, lighting, perimeter fence, festival commission's shed, and public fountain.
The total cost of the damage to the sports court has been assessed by the Molló City Council at €149,887.38. Thanks to the aid from the Generalitat and a previous contribution from the Provincial Council of Girona, €118,326.42 has been covered, representing 79% of the total expense.
The City Council has also requested financial support from the Ministry of Territorial Policy to fund the remaining costs, although no resolution has been received to date.
