The meeting at the national headquarters in Ripoll brings together about 180 party officials, including the executive committee led by Sílvia Orriols and her five secretaries. The main objective is to map out the party's presence in each region of Catalonia and determine which municipalities will feature candidates.
The party acknowledges that, due to “economic limitations,” it cannot cover the entire territory. Therefore, it will concentrate resources in areas where they anticipate the best chances of obtaining representation, especially in inland regions, such as the Ripollès, Garrotxa, Pla d'Urgell, and Urgell.
The far-right pro-independence party aims to refine its territorial deployment, aware that its structure remains precarious despite expectations of growth.
One pending issue is the candidacy for Barcelona, although Orriols had previously suggested having a name. Sources close to the negotiations indicate that the decision is still pending and must be clarified in the coming days. Ideologically, the party has shifted its focus towards a markedly anti-immigration discourse, seeking to differentiate itself from Vox with a more explicit emphasis on Islamophobia.
This conclave will help shape the campaign strategy set to begin after the summer, once the party holds its congress in June. The congress will debate the party's ideology and potential statutory changes, including Orriols' desire to close the door on running in general elections.
