The search is currently focused on the Ripollès region, where the father resided, as the trace of his vehicle, a black Peugeot with license plate 4884 GDR, was lost in Ripoll on Sunday, December 14. Neighbors in Sant Joan de les Abadesses, where Facundo lived, report having no news of him for “a week or more.”
The main concern of the investigators is currently focused on preventing a possible exit from the national territory.
The main hypothesis is that Facundo Nahuel has fled the country with the minor, possibly to Argentina, his country of origin. This concern is reinforced by the fact that the father allegedly sold several personal properties shortly before and after the abduction, interpreted as an urgent search for liquidity.
The Catalan Police has deployed an extensive surveillance operation at ports, airports, bus stations, and border crossings. Gina's mother, residing in El Prat de Llobregat, filed the complaint after the father breached the supervised visitation agreement. The maternal family noted that this is not the first time Facundo has violated judicial conditions.
