The fault, located in a fiber cut between Sant Joan de les Abadesses and Ripoll, has left both Telefónica customers and those of other operators using its network without service. The incident began on Saturday morning, and repairs have been hampered by the heavy snowfall that has affected the area.

Mayor Ramon Roqué criticized the company's slow response in resolving these fiber cuts, warning that the lack of connectivity severely affects both local businesses and elderly residents who rely on internet-connected telecare systems.
