The A-2 highway in the Segarra region continues to face traffic disruptions near Ribera d'Ondara, where one lane remains closed in each direction following emergency weekend roadworks.

The urgent repairs were triggered after twenty vehicles were damaged last Friday due to the poor state of the road surface. Cervera Mayor Jan Pomés explained that the temporary asphalt needs time to dry before the highway can safely return to full capacity.
A major 13.28 million euro renovation project funded by the Ministry of Transport is scheduled to start in late March. This project aims to modernize the most deteriorated section of the highway in Catalonia, which sees over 22,000 vehicles every day.
