The Ateneu del Pallars organized a meeting to showcase the careers of eight female athletes across generations, from 1960s pioneers to young talents forced to leave the region to continue their training.

The event highlighted historical barriers in women's sports. Núria Moré, a 1960s Spanish canoeing runner-up, recalled how social expectations and work duties prevented her from pursuing a professional career.

"One had to work."

Infrastructure shortages remain a challenge. Swimmer Emma Bosh had to move to Cervera to access an indoor pool, as local facilities in Pallars remain unavailable for year-round training.
The tribute also featured Indiana Solà, a 2020 Paralympic medalist, and Roser Gabarrell, who opened the first gym in Tremp. The event aimed to give visibility to women who have been historically overlooked in the local sports scene.
