The French Grand Prix proved challenging for the Márquez brothers, both riders from Cervera, who experienced crashes and were unable to finish the competition at Le Mans.

Before the race, it was confirmed that one of the brothers had undergone successful surgery, although his recovery timeline remains unknown. Meanwhile, the other brother had to withdraw from the event in the early laps due to a fall.
Victory at the French GP went to Jorge Martín, who made a remarkable comeback from seventh position to claim first place. This triumph, his first since Indonesia in 2024, places the Madrid-born rider just one point behind his teammate, Marco Bezzecchi, in the overall standings.

"It was a very strange crash, one of those you don't normally see and that I didn't expect. A lot of anger, because it was a very stupid mistake. I had the impact on my head at first, but nothing serious."

The rider expressed his frustration over the incident, calling it a “stupid mistake” and adding that, despite the initial head impact, he did not sustain serious injuries. He hopes to be in better condition for the upcoming Montmeló GP, where he previously secured a victory in 2025.
