A group of elderly women from Cervera has created the book 'Fem-la petar entre fogons!', featuring 19 traditional recipes and life stories, promoting companionship and memory.

Cooking has become a meeting point for elderly women in Cervera. Users of the Centre Cívic, participating in the Fem-la petar project, have produced a book that combines homemade recipes with personal narratives. This initiative aims to combat unwanted loneliness through weekly gatherings.
The recipe book, titled 'Fem-la petar entre fogons!', contains 19 culinary creations shared by the participants. These recipes, many passed down through generations and featured in celebrations like Christmas or Easter, also incorporate influences from other cultures. Each page of the book includes a drawing of the participant, a brief account of their life, and the detailed recipe.
The publication was edited by the Paeria de Cervera. The project highlights the importance of creating community spaces that foster shared time, collective memory, and companionship as essential tools to address unwanted loneliness.
