Rehabilitation works on the firm of the A-2 highway, between kilometer points 530 and 527, begin on Monday, August 31. The work will initially focus on the left lane towards Lleida and is expected to last four weeks, involving various traffic restrictions.
From Monday, August 31, to Friday, September 4, the left lane towards Lleida between PKs 532+460 and 528+800 will be closed. Traffic will be diverted to the lane enabled on the opposite carriageway, which will become bidirectional. This will include the closure of the acceleration lane towards Lleida at the PK 531 semi-junction. Access to Lleida and Saragossa can be made by continuing on the N-II to the intersection at PK 526 or to the roundabout at PK 524.
Subsequently, from Monday, September 7, to Thursday, September 10, and again from Monday, September 14, to Friday, September 18, the left lane towards Lleida between PKs 530+500 and 526+500 will experience closures. Traffic will again be diverted to the opposite carriageway. The deceleration lane towards Lleida at the PK 526 junction will be closed. Access to Hostalets, Sant Antolí, and Rubinat will need to be made from the PK 523 semi-junction.
Finally, from Monday, September 21, to Wednesday, September 23, the left lane towards Lleida between PKs 528+800 and 526+500 will be closed. General restrictions will be lifted on weekends.
These works, awarded for 12.34 million euros, aim to improve the condition and safety of the highway's firm between km 522.2 and 530.7, including superficial and structural rehabilitation, as well as the replacement of road markings and barriers.
In March 2026, the Ministry of Transport already carried out urgent rehabilitation work in the area due to deterioration caused by intense rainfall.
