Commuters in the Segarra region expressed their frustration with the state of the A-2 highway this Monday, as emergency roadworks caused lane closures in Cervera and Ribera d'Ondara.

Traffic on the A-2 highway has been restricted to a single lane in each direction following urgent repairs carried out over the weekend. Residents from Cervera and surrounding towns claim the infrastructure is suffering from chronic neglect.

"We are forsaken. When you return from Barcelona, you just need to see the Lleida province sign and the car starts jumping."

Many regular drivers criticize the investment gap between Barcelona and the Lleida region. The pavement's degradation is so severe that some users have switched to the old N-II road to avoid the highway's potholes.
