The Alcarràs City Council has approved an 11 million euro budget for 2026, prioritizing the expansion of the local nursery school to meet the needs of its growing population.

With a population now exceeding 11,000 residents, the municipality will add 49 new spots to its current 74-place nursery school. The project covers all early education levels (I0, I1, and I2) and includes an upgrade to the school's kitchen facilities to ensure high-quality, local food service.

"This intervention responds to the sustained demographic growth of the municipality and the desire to facilitate family reconciliation."
