The Alpicat women's team faces a decisive match today against Las Rozas at Antoni Roure, aiming to secure three points that would allow them to control their own fate in the OK Liga.

This afternoon, at 13:00, the team led by Mats Zilken hosts their direct rival in the battle to avoid the last relegation spot. Currently, the Lleida-based team is in the relegation zone, just one point behind the Madrid team. A victory would put them two points ahead and virtually seal their continuity in the top division.
The importance of the match is paramount, as a defeat would mathematically condemn Alpicat to relegation for the second time in four seasons. In case of a draw, the decision would be postponed to the last matchday, where Alpicat would need to score points and hope that Las Rozas does not, considering that the Lleida team has a favorable overall goal difference.

"The only thing we cannot afford is to lose, because then we are mathematically relegated, while the other results leave us an open door, but winning would allow us to depend on ourselves."

Mats Zilken · Alpicat Coach
The coach added that the team is aware of the situation and expects a good response from the home crowd. Meanwhile, Pons Lleida also closes the regular phase of the OK Liga today, hosting Liceo at 19:15, looking to mathematically secure their play-off qualification. To do so, they need to score points or for Rivas not to beat Igualada. This match will mark the debut of David Carrasco as head coach.
