The incident took place at Parc sobre les Vies, near Rosa Parks street and Sant Ruf avenue, when a group of approximately thirty individuals, some wearing ski masks and armed with knives, baseball bats, and belts, began chasing and assaulting another group of youths.
According to witnesses cited by the newspaper Segre, some of those involved reportedly sustained stab wounds to the head and other parts of the body. The Emergency Medical System (SEM) transported the injured to the Hospital Universitari Arnau de Vilanova and the CUAP Prat de la Riba.
The situation prompted a significant response from the Guàrdia Urbana, the Mossos d'Esquadra, and several ambulances, causing concern among local residents. Police are investigating the events, and no arrests have been confirmed at this time.
Witnesses also suggest the assault may not have been spontaneous but a premeditated act of revenge for previous robberies and assaults in the same area. Indeed, just 24 hours prior, a similar assault in the same vicinity led to the arrest of two minors and three stab victims.
