According to the Alpicat entity, which competes in Primera Catalana, the agreement provided for a collaboration that included the contribution of players, coaches, and financial support. The club states that, upon realizing the Cappont entity lacked the capacity to intervene in sporting decisions, they decided to end the relationship to avoid being left alone with the assumed responsibilities.
The statement notes that the board of directors acted responsibly to protect the entity's interests, asserting that the club cannot be at the service of other organizations. Furthermore, Alpicat expressed gratitude for the commitment of the players who have decided to remain part of the current project.
“"The Cappont club had nothing signed with Alpicat and participated altruistically to help some players find a place to play."
For their part, sources from Atlètic Segre have denied the existence of a formal commitment and described their participation as an altruistic collaboration. According to these same sources, the breakdown of the relationship was caused by internal disagreements unrelated to the initial affiliation agreement.
