Força Lleida officially announced this Friday the departure of American point guard Corey Walden, who will not remain with the club for the upcoming season.

The news of Walden's departure is part of a squad restructuring for the next campaign. In addition to the American player, Caleb Agada and Millán Jiménez will also not continue with the team. The latter will return to Valencia Basket upon the conclusion of his loan.
During his first season in Lleida, Walden averaged 6.6 points, 1.7 assists, and 6.3 in valuation over 21 minutes per game. In the most recent season, his performance decreased, contributing 3.9 points, 1.6 assists, and 3.2 in valuation with four fewer minutes per contest.
The point guard arrived at Barris Nord on July 29, 2024, from Turkish club Galatasaray. Walden had significant experience in top-tier European competitions, having previously played for teams such as Partizan Belgrade, Crvena Zvezda, and Bayern Munich.

"After two seasons wearing burgundy, Força Lleida and Corey Walden are parting ways. Walden was one of the signings for the team's debut in the ACB during the 2024-2025 season and a key player in achieving permanence for these two seasons."

The club highlighted his career and conduct: "From the club, we want to thank him for his involvement and dedication over these two seasons. A true example of a player and person both on and off the court, always with a smile and willing to help everyone without taking no for an answer." The statement concludes by wishing him "much luck in everything that is to come. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING COREY".
Regarding the squad composition for the next season, the club has renewed the contracts of Kenny Batemon and Melvin Ejim until 2028. Currently, Oriol Paulí and Adrià Rodríguez (until 2028) also have active contracts, as do Atoumane Diagne, John Shurna, Cameron Krutwig, and Mikel Sanz (contracts until 2027).
