Institut Joan Brudieu in La Seu d'Urgell has recorded a notable success in the recent university entrance exams (PAU). Of the 83 students who took the general and specific phases on June 9, 10, and 11, 82 passed, representing 98.80% of the total. This figure is very similar to the previous year, when it stood at 98.72%.
Data provided by the educational center reveals that Institut Joan Brudieu's students surpass the Catalan average by 3.14%. While Catalonia's pass rate was 95.68% (33,145 out of 34,642 participants), La Seu d'Urgell reached 98.80%. Compared to the Lleida region, where 1,975 students passed (96.39%), the institute also ranks higher, with a difference of 2.43%.
Furthermore, the center highlights the success of the eighth Batxibac promotion. 66.7% of students who took the external exam for the baccalaureate title (2 out of 3) passed. These students, along with passing the Baccalaureate (100% this year), obtain a dual qualification. The score from this external exam is equivalent to the general phase of the PAU, allowing students to take the specific phase without being counted in the general PAU statistics.
The average score of Institut Joan Brudieu students who passed the PAU was 6.259. This figure is slightly lower than the Catalan average (6.403) and that of the Lleida region (6.370). Regarding the average academic record score, the institute also recorded a lower average than Catalonia (7.68) and Lleida (7.72), with 7.554.
Finally, the average final university access score for the institute's students was 7.036, while the Catalan average was 7.167 and that of the Lleida region was 7.180.
