The energy company Endesa, through its subsidiary e-distribución, allocated 1.5 million euros in 2025 to digitalize electrical infrastructure in the province of Lleida, reducing the time customers are affected by incidents.

This investment focused mainly on transformation centers, which convert energy from medium to low voltage. The ability to remotely control and maneuver the network has allowed Endesa to reduce the time customers, both private and corporate, are affected by incidents by up to 20%.

The digitalization strategy seeks to reinforce supply quality and favor the integration of renewable energies into the system.

To achieve this, the company installed 32 new remote control devices in the medium voltage networks (11 of which are in the capital of Lleida). These remote operation devices allow for a much faster response in case of failure, speeding up location and enabling customers to be supplied via alternative routes from the Control Center.
Furthermore, during the 2025 fiscal year, 338 LVS (Low Voltage Supervisor) units were installed in the transformation centers across the twelve regions, with 108 units in Lleida city. These devices collect crucial data on voltage, intensity, and temperature, facilitating the detection of anomalies like fraud and improving infrastructure management.
Finally, 53 low-voltage panels (18 in the capital) were replaced with innovative technology. This modernization, along with the creation of digital twins of the infrastructure, is part of Endesa's Investment Plan in Lleida for network improvement and automation.
