The public company Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) has introduced the new Turistren passport at the B-Travel fair, a digital initiative to promote historic train routes across Catalonia.

This project includes four iconic transports: the Lakes Train (Tren dels Llacs), connecting Lleida and La Pobla de Segur, the Montserrat Rack Railway, the Núria Rack Railway, and the Cement Train. The goal is to encourage the discovery of natural and railway heritage.
Starting in April, the passport will allow users to enjoy discounts of up to 20% on subsequent trips after their first journey. The system is entirely digital; upon purchasing a ticket, travelers receive a link to register and virtually stamp their visits.

"This new product was created to incentivize our activity and boost growth opportunities for the territory."

David Ros Sánchez · Deputy Director of Railway Tourist Services at FGC
In the Segrià region, the Lakes Train will begin its season on April 11th. This train passes through 40 tunnels and 75 bridges, linking Lleida with the Pre-Pyrenees. Those who complete all four routes by December 2027 will receive a commemorative gift.
