The Bisbe Benlloch square in Guissona hosted the 2nd Lleida Lands Human Tower Festival this Saturday, an event aiming to become the main showcase for this tradition in the province.

The event, organized by the Institut d'Estudis Ilerdencs (IEI), brought together the three active groups from the Ponent and Alt Pirineu regions: Castellers de Lleida, the hosts Margeners de Guissona, and Malfargats de Pallars.
For the yellow-shirted Malfargats de Pallars, the day marked their season debut. Despite being in the early stages of training with new young members, the group successfully performed a 'pilar de 4 aixecat per sota' (a four-level pillar raised from below).

"The performance shows a good projection for the season."

This gathering started last summer in Lleida. Following its initial success, the IEI decided to make it a traveling annual event to promote cooperation between local groups and attract new members.
