The Territorial Service of Roads of Lleida has announced intermittent total closures on the C-28 road, in the municipality of Naut Aran, due to emergency works following a landslide that occurred in February.

The traffic closures, which begin today, will be applied from Monday to Sunday. The works will be carried out between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM, and from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Outside these hours, alternating vehicle passage will be permitted.
Traffic will be managed with intervals of 15 minutes of alternating passage and 45 minutes of total closure. The Department of Territory has constantly monitored the situation, with personnel present to ensure the safety of the road during the execution of these works, which are considered urgent and could involve an investment of up to 10 million euros.
In late February, a section of the retaining wall on the C-28, between Baqueira and the Port de la Bonaigua, gave way, causing the total closure of the road. The affected area included a wall approximately 60 meters long and eight meters high, as well as adjacent sectors where block movements were detected.
The mayors of Pallars Sobirà, led by the president of the regional council, Carlos Isús, had already expressed their concern in May about the condition of the C-28 and the risk of further closures during the works.
