The Castell del Remei estate was the venue last Saturday for the ninth edition of the Night Race, which brought together a record number of 1,123 runners. The event, consolidated as a significant sporting and solidarity occasion in the Lleida region, combined activities of sport, nature, wine tourism, and gastronomy.
Participants completed a 10-kilometer course through various areas of the estate, including a section through the winery, one of the points most appreciated by the athletes. In the men's competition, Enric Vilà took victory, followed by Genís Vidal and Paul Iacob. The women's category was won by Aina Fillat, with Verónica Mari Ruiz and Adriana Baza completing the podium.
The event featured an extensive parallel program, with family activities, naval modeling exhibitions on the lake, and leisure and catering options. Runners received a participant bag containing a bottle of wine and the official race t-shirt. The day concluded with a wine tasting dinner and music that lasted until the early morning.
The Castell del Remei Night Race solidifies its solidarity and sporting character in Lleida.
One of the key moments was the solidarity raffle, with prizes including sports equipment from pilot Isidre Esteve, FC Barcelona jerseys signed by players such as Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Pau Cubarsí, Aitana Bonmatí, and Alèxia Putellas, as well as accommodation stays and gastronomic experiences. The organization was made possible by about twenty volunteers and the participation of runners from various regions of Lleida.
The next solidarity event at the estate will be the Tomàs Cusiné Walk on October 25th, also benefiting the Catalan Lupus Foundation.
