The initiative aims to recognize the work of local producers and connect products with the territory's heritage and identity. After being held in Seròs last year, the gala moves to Torrebesses, specifically to the plaça de l’Església Nova and the Castell Palau.
Present at the event were Joan Gòdia, Director General of Agri-food Businesses of the Generalitat de Catalunya; chef Dani López; and Kleber Esteve, Head of Economic Promotion for the Consell Comarcal del Segrià.
Joan Gòdia highlighted the gala's importance as a continuation of Catalonia being named World Region of Gastronomy and announced the department's support for the event.
Kleber Esteve emphasized the significance of linking local producers' work with cuisine, promoting collaboration between producers and chefs.
The gastronomic offering, led by chef Dani López, will focus on Segrià's products, featuring over 20 producers across more than 12 dishes, including a live show cooking.
The event aims to showcase the region's agri-food richness, promoting local products and the Gust de Lleida brand.
The choice of Torrebesses also seeks to highlight rurality, landscape, and heritage, positioning Segrià as a territory with its own distinct agri-food identity.
