The most significant year-on-year increases in the regions of Ponent, Alt Pirineu, and Aran continue to be related to transport and restaurants. Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (-1.3%) and recreational, sports, and cultural activities (-0.8%) have also decreased.

Regarding monthly variation, the IPC remained unchanged in May, following an increase of 0.8% in April. The main monthly increases were observed in furniture and household goods (+1%), clothing and footwear (+0.7%), and restaurants and accommodation services (+0.6%). Prices for health services (+0.2%), insurance and financial services (+0.2%), and personal services (+0.4%) also rose slightly. On the other hand, in addition to housing and alcoholic beverages, prices for recreational, sports, and cultural activities (-0.8%) and information and communications (-0.1%) have fallen, while transport prices remained stable.
In the aggregate for the first five months of the year, the accumulated inflation in the Lleida demarcation stands at 2.2%, the same rate that was already recorded in April.
