The Lleida City Council (Paeria) has awarded the contract to Enginyers Vibroacústics SL to update the Acoustic Quality Plan, aiming to manage and reduce noise impact in the city.

The Paeria formalized the contract award for 13,207 euros to Enginyers Vibroacústics SL. The company will define strategies to control acoustic impact and establish acceptable quality levels for the physiological and psychological well-being of residents.
Lleida, being the most densely populated municipality in Ponent (Western Catalonia), generates significant daily noise from activities and traffic. Some of these sounds can be annoying or harmful, directly impacting the quality of urban life.

The Plan for the Improvement of Acoustic Quality aims to be a management instrument for this complexity, preventing and reducing levels of exposure to environmental noise.

Acoustic quality improvement is governed by a regulatory framework defined at the European, state, and autonomous community levels. It is the responsibility of the City Council to ensure compliance with these regulations and guarantee an adequate sound environment, considering factors that are not only acoustic but also psychological and cultural.
