Lleida City Council started maintenance work this week to repair sunken sections of the sidewalk on Vidal i Codina Street, a project scheduled to be completed within three weeks.

The works, covering an area of approximately 65 square meters, were awarded to the company B. Biosca under the Sidewalk Maintenance Plan and Immediate Action Brigade (BAI) contract. The primary goal is to fix the damaged parts that increased the risk of pedestrian falls.
The Mayor, Fèlix Larrosa, accompanied by the Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Urban Agenda and Sustainability, Begoña Iglesias, visited the site this morning to check on the progress of the repairs.
The BAI continuously works on repairing public road defects. Recent actions included improving several intersections on General Brito Street. Currently, work is also underway on the pavement of Rosa Parks Street and fixing potholes across various city streets.
The next planned action involves improving a section of the track covering, where deteriorated wooden pavement will be replaced with concrete tiles, matching the material used in the rest of the covering structure.
