Lleida breaks records in pink-themed Women's Race for breast cancer research

Over 2,500 participants gathered at the Segre river to support oncology research projects.

The 11th edition of the Lleida Women's Race brought together a record-breaking 2,525 participants this Sunday in Lleida, raising funds for breast cancer research and local scientific projects.

The 5.6-kilometer route ran along the Segre river canal, starting and finishing at the Camps Elisis park. Proceeds from the event support the Marta Santamaria Scholarship and research conducted by IRBLleida.

Marta Gort Paniello took the victory in the women's category, while Pol Romà Lorenz finished first in the men's group. The event was organized by GoGoGoRunners Club Esportiu in collaboration with the Lleida City Council.
