The festival will bring large-format murals, artistic interventions, and participatory workshops, turning the streets into an open-air contemporary art museum. The creations will reflect the neighborhood's identity elements such as nature, local produce, and popular festivals.
Culture Councilor Pilar Bosch presented the program, emphasizing that GAMMA is an opportunity to bring art closer to citizens and a valuable form of plastic expression. She thanked the collaboration of wall owners, sponsors, and residents, whose stories have inspired the artists.
The artistic direction, Fracesca Vasile and Blai Baules from CactuSoup Studio, detailed that the murals, created by Guillem Font, Marta Lapeña, Slim Safont, and Txus Montejano, will be linked to the local market, nature, and neighborhood festivals, as well as its graffiti tradition.
During the festival weekend, guided tours with the artists will be offered. There will also be muralism and citizen participation workshops, along with interventions by the Escola d'Art Ondara and the Escola Municipal Leandre Cristòfol. Tattoo artist Sile and muralist Oriol Arumí will transform the wall of the Municipal Canoeing Center, Jordi Tordera (Coba) will lead a graffiti workshop, and Matías Tolsà will create neighborhood portraits with ephemeral street art.
The festival, organized by the Lleida City Council, is supported by the Institut d'Estudis Ilerdenses, the Provincial Council of Lleida, and the Generalitat de Catalunya, in addition to private sponsors and collaborators.
