The Historic Center Open in Lleida reaches its seventeenth edition, consolidating itself as a key event for the neighborhood's revitalization. This year, the event will take place on September 18, 19, and 20 and will feature the participation of over 60 entities, associations, facilities, businesses, and collectives.
The mayor of Lleida, Fèlix Larrosa, has highlighted the event's importance, which for the first time is integrated into the Historic Center Integral Plan. Larrosa emphasized that this edition "will mark a before and after" and expressed the hope that the Open will become a reality "365 days a year," thanks to planned investments in socio-cultural promotion and direct aid to businesses.
One of the notable novelties is the Vel d’Ombra, an ephemeral canopy created by 110 women from Lleida with fruit motifs, which will cover the central space of Cavallers street. This community project, promoted by the Paeria with the entities AMEXELL and AMELL, symbolizes the neighborhood's vitality and diversity.
The weekend program includes a wide variety of activities: entity fairs, family shows, craft and vintage clothing markets, batucada performances, traditional dances, Djembé workshops, capoeira rodas, gastronomic showcases, parades, and concerts. Open days will also be offered at heritage sites such as the Museu de Lleida, the Seu Vella, and the Castell del Rei.

The event aims to highlight the vitality, diversity of the neighborhood, and the role of its associative, cultural, commercial, and neighborhood fabric, inviting citizens to discover and participate in a program built from and for the community.
