The Lleida City Council Plenary approved the ERC motion to create a stable body for coordinating inclusion policies, while the proposals from PP and Junts against the Balàfia civic hub were rejected on January 30.

The plenary session at the Paeria de Lleida only succeeded with the motion presented by Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya (ERC), which seeks to promote the creation of a stable and representative body to coordinate, monitor, and strategically drive inclusion policies and the fight against homelessness in the city.

the creation or adaptation of a stable and representative entity that allows for the exercise of coordination, monitoring, and strategic impulse functions for inclusion and anti-homelessness policies in the city of Lleida, with planning, decision, and monitoring capacity.

The motions presented by the Popular Party (PP) and Junts per Catalunya, both opposing the civic hub project in the Balàfia neighborhood, were defeated. The PP motion only received support from Vox, while the Junts proposal was rejected by all groups. The PSC defended the project, assuring that it revitalizes a "neglected" area of Balàfia, turning it into a "living space" with social and community services.
The debate was particularly sharp, featuring constant arguments between PP, ERC, and Junts. Furthermore, the session included a large audience, including residents of Balàfia, some of whom were called to order several times for shouting and launching insults during the discussion.
Before the start of the plenary session, the Paeria read an institutional declaration against gender violence and observed a minute of silence for the woman murdered on Sunday on Ciutat de Fraga street, in a case open for a crime of murder.
