The Lleida City Council evicted an illegal camp consisting of 15 shacks on Josep Tarradellas Avenue this Wednesday, addressing severe sanitary risks for the five people living there.

The settlement was located between the Victoriano Muñoz area and the Seròs canal, near the Fira de Lleida parking lot. Authorities reported extreme lack of hygiene and a significant rat infestation, posing a health threat to both residents and the surrounding neighborhood.
Municipal social services have provided temporary accommodation for the five individuals affected. Cleaning crews will continue working at the site over the coming days to restore the area and prevent further irregular occupations.
