A group of thirty farmers from Lleida and Baix Cinca has filed complaints against distribution companies for alleged price abuses and the absence of formal contracts.

The complaints were submitted to the Food Information and Control Agency (AICA) and the agricultural departments of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Government of Aragon. Affected crops include cherries, peaches, pears, and apples.
According to Mas Farré Abogados, companies are forcing farmers to deliver harvests without prior appraisal or commercial documents. This violates the Food Chain Law, which was strengthened following the 2019 agricultural protests.

"Farmers sometimes find themselves needing to take whatever money is offered to avoid insolvency."
