The Lleida City Council has carried out intensive cleaning in Josep Prenafeta square, a key area due to its proximity to cultural facilities, to improve citizen comfort.

The Lleida City Council has intensified cleaning operations in various city areas, including a recent intervention in Josep Prenafeta square. This square is a hub of high citizen use and is directly connected to cultural facilities such as the Enric Granados Municipal Auditorium and the Ricard Viñes Municipal Conservatory of Music.
These actions will be integrated into a regular plan. The mayor, Fèlix Larrosa, announced that scheduled maintenance will take place, and when the Pi i Margall area is reviewed, the square will also be addressed. "It is a simple operation, but it follows a clear logic: we must improve public space with concrete and specific actions, a kind of fine surgery that allows us to act where it is most needed," he stated.
In parallel, complementary improvements are being promoted, such as reinforcing the shade in the square. The aim is to consolidate it as an environment linked to the Auditorium's cultural activities, but also as a pleasant meeting space for citizens.
The mayor framed these initiatives within a broader strategy for improving public spaces, based on constant monitoring and identification of critical points, with weekly work alongside the Mayor's Commissioner for Public Space, Jordi Domingo.
