The Lleida Municipal Archive has officially incorporated the documentary collection of the historic Unió Esportiva Lleida, a set of 536 boxes covering the club's activities between 1939 and 2011.

The Mayor of Lleida, Fèlix Larrosa, presided over the donation ceremony at the Paeria City Hall. This collection is the largest private fund received by the archive to date and the first from a sports entity, featuring over 2,500 photographs and 300 match videos.

"It is a shared symbol, a space of memories, joys, and generations that have grown up with its colors."

Municipal technicians will now begin the process of classifying and digitizing the materials to ensure their preservation and public access. The event also honored the memory of sports journalist Dani Badia, who passed away in 2022.
