President Salvador Illa officially opened Lleida's new bus station this Saturday, a modern facility integrated into a historic landmark that will begin operations tomorrow with 86 available destinations.

The project, which cost 40 million euros, involved the restoration of the Docs, a modernist industrial building now serving as the station's main hall. Located next to the railway station, the new terminal features 28 platforms and aims to consolidate Lleida as a major transport hub in Catalonia.

"It is the most beautiful station with the highest patrimonial value in Europe."

Starting Monday, operators such as Alsa will provide services to cities including Barcelona, Andorra, and various regional towns. The facility is equipped with 45 security cameras and solar panels that will generate nearly a third of its required electricity.
