The city of Lleida will officially inaugurate its new bus station this Saturday, February 28th, transforming a former parking lot into a modern transport hub that will start operations next Monday.

The project has restored the historic Docs building, a modernist structure that had been closed to the public. Spanning 9,300 square meters, the new terminal features 28 platforms, four more than the previous facility, and is designed to provide seamless transfers to the adjacent railway station.
Inside, the terminal preserves original brick vaults alongside modern amenities. The main lobby includes a cafe area, ticket offices located behind the building's original majestic doors, real-time information screens, and a multipurpose room for events.
However, the opening has raised concerns among local residents. The 26-meter wide vehicle entrance on Príncep de Viana street is expected to impact traffic flow on one of Lleida's busiest roads when full operations begin on Monday, March 2nd.
