Data from the Mossos d'Esquadra and the Ministry of the Interior show a steady increase in reported incidents. In 2024, sexual offenses rose by 14.6% in Lleida, totaling 307 cases, with the upward trend continuing into the first half of 2025.
The statistics are particularly concerning regarding sexual assault with penetration, which surged by over 40% in early 2025. This puts the Lleida region among the areas with the highest rates of sexual crimes per capita in the country.
