Several high school students in Lleida who studied abroad in the United States or Canada are facing critical uncertainty regarding their University Entrance Exams (PAU) due to administrative delays by the Generalitat.

The students, from Torre Vicens and Joan Oró high schools, were part of the Amancio Ortega Foundation scholarship program. Although they completed their studies months ago, the Department of Education has yet to officially validate their grades, citing a technical error from last October.
Without official validation, these high-achieving students are being offered a provisional grade of 5.0, which could severely impact their chances of entering competitive university degrees. Families are now considering legal action or contacting the Ombudsman to resolve the situation before the registration deadline.
