The city of Lleida celebrated its traditional Cursa de Llits (Bed Race) this Sunday, featuring fifteen handmade vehicles racing through the Barri Antic and the Eix Comercial.

Participants showcased creative designs inspired by current events, such as Renfe trains, the new V16 emergency beacons, and swine flu. The event, characterized by its satirical tone, drew large crowds to the streets of the Segrià capital.
The race started at Sant Josep Square and followed a route through Lluís Besa and Palma streets, ending at Sant Joan Square. Teams had to complete various skill challenges, including target shooting and answering trivia questions, while navigating the urban course.
The festivities included children's animation and a Ball de Vermut. Due to previous weather disruptions, the Historic Center parade and the popular 'tupinada' meal have been rescheduled for this Monday afternoon.
