The Mossos d'Esquadra have launched a significant operation in Lleida and Seròs, in Segrià, to dismantle an organization involved in marijuana and arms trafficking, with the participation of nearly 200 agents.

Since early Tuesday, approximately 200 agents from the Mossos d'Esquadra have participated in a large-scale operation in the towns of Lleida and Seròs. The primary objective of this major deployment is to dismantle a criminal network involved in marijuana and arms trafficking.
The actions include numerous raids and searches of properties and industrial warehouses in both locations. One of the intervention points was the Mariola neighborhood in Lleida, where at least one arrest has been confirmed. During the searches, a marijuana plantation was found in a basement, and some weapons were seized.
Additionally, technicians from an electricity company were dispatched to the scene, as it was detected that those involved in the scheme might have illegally tapped into the electricity supply. The operation involves various specialized units of the Mossos, such as the Criminal Investigation Division, Brimo, Arro, forensic police, and the canine unit, in addition to aerial support.
The investigations, which are under a secrecy order, are being coordinated with the Prosecutor's Office and the Lleida Court of First Instance.
