The young sprinter from Lleida UA clocked a time of 23.64 seconds during the Spanish Indoor Championships. This performance marks the fastest European time of the season and the seventh-best in world history for her age group, breaking records previously held by Jaël Bestué.
“"When I saw the result I was very surprised, but also satisfied to have achieved good results after a weekend of many nerves."
Armero has developed her talent at the les Basses facilities in Lleida, training under Tatan Vidal since the age of nine. Her coach emphasized that these records are a direct consequence of her talent and daily sacrifice on the track.
At just 16 years old, Armero dreams of competing in the Olympic Games or World Championships, though she remains focused on her immediate goals at the upcoming European Championships.
