The Massi Baix Ter cycling team achieved a significant success at the GP Speed Republik Ciutat de Lleida, held last Saturday, May 16th, with two of its riders securing spots on the overall classification podium.

Laura Gómez was crowned champion in the elite category and also led the overall classification of the race. Her teammate, Alba Codony from Garrotxa, achieved victory in the under-23 category and completed the podium with a third-place finish overall.
The Massi Baix Ter's performance was further bolstered by two more cyclists finishing within the top 10. Laia Bosch finished in fourth place overall and second in the under-23 category, while Laura Rodríguez came in seventh.
The competition, part of the Catalan Women's Road Cycling Cup, was held on a circuit course covering a total of 50 kilometers. The club's president, Sergi Güell, highlighted the team's "positive dynamic" and the recovery of "expected results" to lead Catalan women's cycling.
This success follows an equally fruitful previous weekend at the Leguitoko Saria in the Basque Country, where Massi Baix Ter was recognized as the best team with four cyclists among the top ten finishers. On that occasion, Alba Codony also reached the podium (second in U23 and third overall), alongside notable performances from Maier Olano (fourth), Adèle Normand (seventh), and Laura Rodríguez (tenth).
The Massi Baix Ter project, directed by Ángel González, is in its thirteenth season, combining youth development with elite women's and cadet teams, competing in Catalan, national, and international events.
