An extraordinary call for practical driving tests in Lleida has led to a 75% increase in capacity at Pyrenean centers, specifically in La Seu d'Urgell and La Pobla de Segur.

The initiative, launched by the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) to shorten waiting lists in the province, plans to conduct 242 driving tests for the B permit between May 18 and June 4. This was detailed by the sub-delegate of the Spanish government in Lleida, José Crespín, after a follow-up meeting.
This 75% increase is a direct consequence of the Operational Exam Reinforcement Plan (PRO) applied in Lleida. Of these tests, 170 will take place in La Seu d'Urgell and the remaining 74 in La Pobla de Segur.
The sub-delegate emphasized the need for shared responsibility among all parties involved, including driving schools, to ensure not only the availability of examiners but also sufficient instructors and vehicles for student training.
Regarding the extraordinary call last Saturday, May 16, in Lleida, 312 students were examined. The pass rate was 45.71%, a figure slightly lower than the 51.71% recorded in the first four months of the year.
The DGT will evaluate the results of this pilot experience in Lleida with the aim of extending the model to other provinces if necessary.
