The incident occurred around 3:00 PM when local residents reported flames in a building. A total of 7 fire crews were dispatched to the scene.
Emergency personnel had to wait for confirmation from the electric company that the power was off before commencing firefighting operations, which began around 4:15 PM. The fire was declared extinguished shortly after, but firefighters remained to ventilate the smoke-affected apartments.

As a result of the fire, the Medical Emergency Service (SEM) attended to two minors for smoke inhalation. One was released at the scene, while the other was taken to a hospital for intoxication.
The electric company has been informed to address the issue.
