Nearly 100 residents from Lleida face the conflict in the Persian Gulf

The local community in the region has doubled since the pandemic due to professional opportunities.

Approximately 86 people from Lleida are currently living in Persian Gulf countries affected by the military escalation involving Iran, Israel, and the USA, according to INE records.

Migration from Lleida to countries like the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia has seen a steady rise. The community in the UAE has reached 62 residents, doubling its size since 2021.
