New leadership drives strategic projects in Lleida

The city of Lleida renews the management of Fira and Parc Agrobiotech to boost its economic and technological development.

The city of Lleida has recently appointed new directors to lead Fira de Lleida and Parc Agrobiotech, aiming to energize strategic projects and consolidate its position as a benchmark in bioeconomy and technology.

These leadership changes seek to provide new momentum to key initiatives for the future of the Segrià capital. Fira de Lleida, for example, is considering an ambitious relocation project to the former Hípica, an operation that would involve an investment of one hundred million euros and aims to make Lleida the second fair capital of Catalonia, with a first pavilion planned for 2030.
In parallel, Parc Agrobiotech seeks to consolidate itself as a leading agri-food and technology hub. Both entities will converge at the second edition of the Agrobiotech Innovation Forum, to be held on October 27, 28, and 29. The event will focus on optimizing production without compromising planetary sustainability.
This leadership renewal and the commitment to collaboration between public and private entities are perceived as a "breath of fresh air" for the sector. The involvement of private companies, which are once again investing time and resources, is a positive sign. The first edition of the Agrobiotech Innovation Forum was already a success, and the second aims to position Lleida as a European reference in bioeconomy. The Startup Arena, which performed better than expected in 2025, is expected to be coordinated again to foster new businesses.
Professional events like this have a significant driving effect on the territory, activating the business fabric, attracting capital, and giving visibility to emerging companies, while projecting Lleida's image abroad.
