The market and car park at the Camp d’Esports now feature the new access ramp installed by the Paeria. This initiative enhances mobility from Alcalde Vives and Manuel Florensa streets, particularly for individuals with reduced mobility or those using trolleys. Final painting touches were completed today, and the ramp is now open to the public.
The new infrastructure improves access from the side of Alcalde Rovira Roure street, which also has a nearby bus stop. Additionally, the stairs have been renovated, making them wider and more comfortable. Previously, there was only a narrow set of stairs, and the alternative was to use the velodrome access.
This improvement addresses a demand from stallholders and market users to facilitate access to the venue. The project is part of the Lleida Market Improvement Plan, included in the Municipal Action Plan.
The awarded budget for the work is €40,001.39, including VAT. The project received a subsidy from the Consorci de Comerç Artesania i Moda de Catalunya (CCAM), as part of the support program for enhancing the competitiveness of municipal markets.
