The entity Cipo has planned the construction of a new training and occupational center specializing in gardening, aimed at individuals with functional diversity. This facility will be situated on a municipal plot in the Sant Pau de Riu-sec industrial estate, at Carrer de la Serra de Galliners, 47, corner of Vall Moranta. The Local Government Board of the Sabadell City Council has definitively approved the project and the tender documents for the public domain concession of the land, which spans 5,793.65 square meters.
The land cession will be for a period of 50 years in exchange for an annual fee. Municipal sources have indicated that the projected amount for 2026 is 28,790.54 euros. The City Council considers Cipo's proposal to be of public interest, as it will enable the creation of a new community facility focused on the social, educational, and employment inclusion of people with functional diversity, using gardening and the environment as the foundation of the occupational project. The land's urban planning classification already designated it for community facilities, facilitating the assignment of the urban subclass for local health and assistance facilities.
With this new center, Cipo will expand its activities, which already include the design, construction, and maintenance of gardens, as well as forestry work, at its current facilities in Sant Julià. Although the project is in its early stages, the promoting entity expects it to bring a new activity to the Sant Pau de Riu-sec industrial estate, which has recently seen the opening of a hotel, a Tesla dealership, a gas station, and the commencement of construction for a nine-screen cinema.
In parallel, Cipo will also manage a residential home and occupational center for elderly individuals with intellectual disabilities in Can Gambús, promoted by the Barnola-Vallribera Foundation. This space, ceded free of charge by the City Council, will accommodate 48 people and is expected to become operational in 2027.
