The Primer Aitona group and the PSC-CP have announced an electoral alliance for the 2027 municipal elections, seeking to strengthen local government action and rural leadership.

The municipal group Primer Aitona and the Catalan Socialist Party-Candidatura de Progrés (PSC-CP) have formalized an electoral alliance for the 2027 municipal elections. The agreement, presented as a "considered" and "locally focused" decision, aims to consolidate government action and maintain the autonomy of the municipal project, as explained by the current mayor.
The mayor highlighted that the pact does not involve a renunciation of Primer Aitona's identity, but rather a strategy to increase institutional influence and continue promoting projects for the municipality. She emphasized that the priority has always been and will remain the well-being of the residents of Aitona.
According to the mayor, relations with administrations have significantly improved since the PSC became part of the Government, facilitating responses to municipal demands. This collaboration, she added, provides more tools to defend local interests.
For his part, the first secretary of the PSC in Lleida emphasized the importance of municipal politics and the need for greater support for local councils, especially in rural areas. He pointed out key challenges such as infrastructure, irrigation, communications, and creating opportunities for young people in the territory.
The socialist representative praised the mayor's track record as an example of municipal leadership, noting how Aitona has gained visibility thanks to management that combines firmness in defending local interests with the ability to build support.
