The Lleida-Pirineus station remained without Rodalies rail service for the second consecutive day, with platforms empty and trains stopped. This situation led to a constant flow of passengers towards the bus station, which became the main alternative for regional travel. Many users also resorted to high-speed trains (AVE), although this service operated with delays of up to 30 minutes.
The suspension affected lines RL3, RL4, R13, and R14, leaving many regular commuters without options. Some, like Isabel López, traveling from Lleida to Mollerussa for a medical appointment at the Arnau de Vilanova Hospital, were forced to bear the cost of a taxi to return home.
“"I have a feeling of rage, but I didn't know the trains were canceled and I had to manage on my own."
Other affected individuals, such as teacher Raul from the Mirasan school in Lleida, had to pay 20 euros extra per person to travel to Barcelona via AVE with a group of students. In Tàrrega, the few users who approached the station were informed of the service complexity and opted for the bus. Frustration also extended to long-distance travelers, like Dolors and Josep Maria, who regretted the cancellation of trains bound for Zaragoza and Granada without prior notice.
The only regional service that operated normally was the Tren de la Pobla, managed by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC). This train, which runs on diesel and is not part of the Rodalies network, registered high demand, especially on the section connecting Lleida and Balaguer.
